Bonus: If you have 2-3 years of kitchen experience and some background in managing people — but it’s not a must.
At Palett, we serve up fresh, healthy food with speed, structure, and good energy. Our takeaway kitchen runs like a well-oiled machine. Now we’re looking for someone to join the team: someone who loves working with food, thrives on routines, handles stress well, and wants to be part of something that’s growing.
Whether you’ve worked in kitchens before or not — or maybe you’ve cooked at home or worked a bit in a café — that’s great. But what matters most is your attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn our way of doing things. We’ll provide training in our recipes and routines.
What we’re looking for is a hands-on team player who:
Has a genuine passion for food, quality, and good vibes
Thinks ahead, takes responsibility, and stays organized
Is reliable, punctual, and can handle high-volume food prep
Thrives under pressure and enjoys structure, systems, and working at tempo
Has great work ethic and isn’t afraid of physical tasks
Takes pride in a clean kitchen — including dishwashing and closing routines
Has a positive, solution-oriented mindset and lifts the team around them
Is comfortable with a flexible schedule (mostly evenings, possibly some daytime shifts)
Has some experience leading or managing (a plus, but not required)
Key Responsibilities
Prepare food to order with consistency and speed, making sure every order is fresh and delicious
Support smooth daily operations in the takeaway kitchen and lead the team during your shift
Follow hygiene, food safety, and documentation routines
Keep ingredients fresh, rotated, and stations ready
Handle dishwashing and end-of-day cleaning to our standards
Contribute to team rhythm and help train others as needed
Support the Head Chef in menu planning and kitchen improvement
Take ownership of results (waste, quality, timing, and efficiency)
Manage stock, refill stations, track inventory, and notify the team lead when something is running low
Follow established routines for prepping, service, and closing
