At Palett, we serve fresh, healthy food with speed, structure and good energy. Our takeaway kitchen runs like a well-oiled machine when everyone shows up, thinks ahead and takes ownership. Now we’re looking for someone who wants to be a real part of that engine. This position starts at 40 %, with the possibility to increase to 60 % for the right person who wants more responsibility. We already have strong systems in place, this role is about executing them consistently and taking responsibility within that structure.

Who you are

You:

• Think ahead and take responsibility

• Handle high tempo without losing structure or quality

• Can run a shift independently when needed

• Aren’t afraid of pressure during rush

• Keep the kitchen clean, organized and sharp

• Stay solution-oriented when things get hectic

• Understand that consistency and food safety are non-negotiable

You don’t need to know everything.

But you do need to care.

What you’ll actually be doing

• Lead daily prep and mise en place for service

• Take ownership of prep and ensure all recipes and routines are followed consistently

• Ensure the kitchen is fully prepared before service starts

• Step in and lead the shift when necessary

• Work service during takeaway hours

• Make sure every order goes out consistent and fresh

• Keep stations stocked, rotated and clean

• Follow hygiene and food safety routines

• Maintain high standards for cleanliness including dishwashing and closing

• For the right person, this role can grow into:

• Leading prep planning and daily structure

• Taking responsibility for shift flow and timing

• Acting as second-in-command in takeaway

• Supporting training of new team members

• Taking ownership of timing, waste and efficiency
